We are raising $110,000 for our 110th Anniversary!

New Jersey Blind Citizens Association is celebrating 110 years! NJBCA has been serving the blind, visually impaired and those with deteriorating vision since 1910. Our goal is to raise $110,000 to help us continue to impact lives. Please consider donating to our anniversary campaign so that we may continue to help!

Here is just one example of why we care-

Allow Anna to share her story-

"I am losing my vision to a thief called AMD or age-related macular degeneration. Diagnosed a the age of 43, I was devastated. You cant cure AMD. I knew the disease would eventually steal my central vision so that I would not be able to drive a car, read labels on groceries or recognize faces. I was very depressed, felt alone and that no one would or could understand what I was going though. My neighbor saw a van driving in the neighborhood with the words New Jersey Blind Citizens Association emblazoned on the side and gave them a call to see if they could help me. I decided to attend their day program for those with blindness, visual impairment or like me, deteriorating vision- and I have never looked back! Everyone there had a story to tell about their vision loss journey. I no longer felt alone, frightened or doubtful. I have concerns for the future, but not fear. There is a difference. NJBCA and the participants and staff there helped me realize this. No none us knows what tomorrow may bring; enjoy every sunrise, every smile, every sight you can take in. And please help NJBCA help others like me. Help them give hope to those who are on their own vision loss journey.
